Who is performing at Lighting of the Lawn?
Will there be enhanced security at Lighting of the Lawn?
Yes, there will be enhanced security. Specifically, there will be metal detectors.
To expedite the security process:
Do arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the event.
Don’t bring a bag or any other items unless absolutely necessary.
Do expect to wait longer if you bring a bag or other items that need inspecting.
Do expect to be delayed getting into the event if you arrive 45 minutes or less prior to the event start time.
Note: Security gates open at 6:00pm
Can I bring a bag? What about a water bottle?
Yes, you can bring a bag or backpack. However, your bag will be searched. Please make sure you go through the bag check-line and not the regular line.
Yes, you can bring an empty bottle.
Note: To get through security more quickly, we encourage you to leave your bags at home.
Is there food?
Yes, there will be food and hot drinks on the South Lawn and in the Middle of the Lawn. Food trucks will be on the South Lawn too.
What’s happening at the South Lawn?
There is an open reception for all attendees. There will be food trucks, games, a Photo Booth and a lot more.
What about parking and transportation?
UTS will be running normally and the CAT Free Trolley provides transit access. Parking is available at the Culbreth Road Garage, the Emmet/Ivy Garage, and Scott Stadium. Parking is also available in the Central Grounds Garage but the normal hourly fees will apply.
